McDonnell Ranges

After two days in Alice, where I saved a lot of money by doing all the servicework at the Toyota by myself, we started to see the McDonnell Ranges.

On our way to Alice Springs, we visited the Rainbowvalley and found by chance Owen Springs. This two “little highlights” we found really nice and more interesting than the big stuff. This time we explored the Palmvalley, which is the only spot in the world, where the “Red Cabbage Palms” grow. But like always, the nicer the landscape the worst and difficult the road.

The other days we looked into some other canyons with nice billabongs, waterholes, where we jumped in to swim and get some refreshment.

Now we are about to go North, after refill the tanks and do some groceries.

  1. We had here at the maxi-minimum 14 degrees below zero. Your mother was baking for Mimamai and me good Christmas Chocolate Cake! The Christmas Market in Bamberg looks like usual: http://www.n0by.de/n0/myLife/10/1128/index.htm
