We were very surprised how OZ’s (Aussies) celebrate New Year, at the caravan park, where we spent the night everybody went to bed like always at ten o’clock.
On our way to Karratha we came through the Millstream-Chichester NP and found there close to the Pythonpool - nice to swim in there - a rural camp-spot, which wasn’t used since weeks. You could see it by the dust-layers at the loo.
Karratha was good for doing the groceries. We even had i-net at the beach but only energy for Gisi’s blog. After a couple of days at the beach watching the tides and the animals between the rocks the weather changed in the night and suddenly there were billions of tiny little flies, which bit us terrible and at least forced us to hurry away from the coast.
A few hundred kilometers SW is the Cape Range NP located, which has in my mind one of the nicest beaches, nice to swim and if can to snorkel.
South of the park is a cattle station Ningaloo with the same nice beach behind the coral-reef there we stayed completely alone enjoying fish bought from a fish-hatchery at the roadside for diner.
On our way to Coral Bay along the coast we saw some Red Giants.
In Coral Bay we made a tour in a glasbottomboat to look at the coral-reef with it’s various forms and all the fishes. It was just amazing.
